The NCGG Internship 2024 is a short-term engagement (ranging from 8 weeks to a maximum of 6 months) for selected students with various departments and units of the National Centre for Good Governance, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India. This temporary engagement aims to empower Indian youth by providing exposure to governance and public policy issues and involving them in tackling challenges related to citizen-centric governance. Admission to this programme does not guarantee future employment with the Centre. Interns will work in specific domains/areas assigned to them.
Objectives
The NCGG Internship 2024 aims to advance academic research and enhance the functioning of NCGG by engaging young talents, honing their knowledge, skills, and theoretical education through practical approaches. The programme provides exposure to public policy and governance issues, benefiting both the students and the Centre.
NCGG Internship Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the NCGG Internship 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Open to all Indian students studying in India or abroad.
- Available to students with a graduation degree or those pursuing post-graduation/PG Diploma and advanced academic degrees, especially those interning as part of their dissertation/capstone project or awaiting their degree certificate after final exams.
- Students in the final year of 4 or 5-year law and engineering courses may also apply.
- Applicants must be under 30 years old at the time of application.
- A letter of recommendation from the university/institution where the student is enrolled must be uploaded.
NCGG Internship Duration
The internship period is between 8 weeks and 6 months. Successful completion requires adherence to this duration to be eligible for an experience certificate.

Selection Process of NCGG Internship 2024
- Applications for the NCGG Internship 2024 will be invited via the NCGG website.
- Applications can be submitted any time during the year, preferably not later than one month before the intended start date.
- Applicants must provide complete information for verification, including original mark sheets, approval/recommendation letters, and personal ID at the time of joining.
- Incomplete applications or those not meeting eligibility conditions will be automatically disqualified.
- The selection process involves two stages: preliminary screening of applications and a personal interview (online or offline) of shortlisted candidates.
- A committee will screen applications and conduct personal interviews.
- Successful candidates will be informed via email and the NCGG website.
- The number of internships available will not exceed 20 at any given time.
- Internship applications will be periodically reviewed by a screening committee.
Logistics and Support
Interns must arrange their own travel, boarding, lodging, and have their own laptops. NCGG will provide working space, internet access, and other necessities as deemed fit by the supervisor.
Honorarium
Interns will receive a consolidated stipend/honorarium of INR 10,000 per month on a pro-rata basis during their approved internship period, based on progress in their assignments.
Obligations and Attendance
Interns must integrate with the Centre’s daily workings and participate in an induction programme. Each intern will be assigned a supervisor for assignments, monitoring, and evaluation. Tasks may include conducting secondary research, writing reports, analyzing developments, data analytics, communication and event management, or other tasks assigned by supervisors. A minimum of 80% attendance is required for the duration of the internship to receive an experience certificate and honorarium. At the internship’s end, interns must submit a report and present it to an evaluation committee to receive a certificate of successful completion.
Experience Certificate
Upon successful completion and evaluation, a certificate will be issued by the Centre.
Termination of Internship
The Centre may terminate the internship at any time without assigning reasons. Interns may also terminate their internship by giving a one-week prior notice to their supervisor.

Applications for the NCGG Internship 2024 will be activated on the NCGG website for the Winter Internship. Ensure eligibility before applying and mention the intended date of joining and duration in the application form.
