Why Elvish Yadav arrested by Noida Police ?

 

Noida Police detained YouTuber Elvish Yadav on Sunday in connection with allegations involving snake venom. Following a series of inquiries, he was formally arrested and presented in court. Reports suggest that Elvish Yadav, winner of Bigg Boss OTT2, faced questioning regarding his purported involvement in supplying and using snake venom at rave parties. Six individuals, including Elvish Yadav, were charged under wildlife protection laws and criminal conspiracy statutes for their alleged roles in providing snake venom at a party in Noida’s Sector 51, revealed to be a sting operation conducted by People for Animals, led by Maneka Gandhi.

Forensic examinations confirmed the presence of cobra and krait venom in samples collected from the party. People for Animals, acting on a tip-off, engaged with Elvish Yadav, suspecting his involvement in a network related to the misuse of rare animals. According to reports, Elvish allegedly facilitated the procurement of snake venom by providing contacts. His association with snakes in his videos further fueled suspicions.

Although Elvish Yadav denied all allegations during multiple rounds of questioning, investigations revealed that nine snakes, devoid of venom glands and with missing teeth, were discovered during the sting operation party in November the previous year, with Elvish not present at the event.

Prior to this controversy, Elvish Yadav attracted attention for a separate incident involving a viral video depicting him assaulting fellow YouTuber Maxtern, also known as Sagar Thakur. Subsequently, an FIR was lodged against Elvish in Gurugram, prompting him to issue a statement clarifying the incident.

These developments underscore the ongoing challenges surrounding animal protection and ethical conduct, especially in the realm of online influencers and social media personalities.
