The UIDAI Internship 2024 is organized by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), a statutory authority under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Established in 2016, UIDAI is responsible for issuing Unique Identification numbers, known as “Aadhaar,” to residents of India. As of March 2022, UIDAI has issued over 1.3 billion Aadhaar numbers, ensuring that every resident has a unique identity.

The Aadhar Internship program is designed to offer students first-hand experience in the working environment of UIDAI. Interns will have the opportunity to work in various technology tracks and other departments within UIDAI’s headquarters, technology centers, and regional offices. Objectives of the UIDAI Internship 2024

Eligibility Criteria for the Aadhar Internship Program

To be eligible for the Aadhar Internship program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be an Indian citizen.
• Bonafide students from recognized universities or institutions in India or abroad.
• For UG students: Must be in the 3rd/4th year of B.Tech/BE with at least 60% marks.
• For PG students: Must have completed the first year or second semester with at least 60% marks.
• Recent graduates awaiting admission to higher studies or employment may also apply, provided they have a minimum of 60% marks.

Selection Process

Interns for the UIDAI Internship 2024 will be selected based on the recommendations of a Selection Committee, which may conduct personal or virtual interviews if necessary. The final decision on the suitability of candidates will be made by the concerned DDG heading the respective office.

Experience Certificate and Stipend

Interns who successfully complete the UIDAI Internship 2024 will receive an experience certificate from UIDAI. The internship offers a monthly stipend of ₹50,000, subject to the submission of a satisfactory report from the supervising officer.

Place and Duration of Internship

Interns can work at UIDAI’s Technology Centre in Bengaluru, regional offices, or headquarters, with the possibility of remote work under the guidance of a Project Supervisor. The internship duration ranges from six weeks to 12 months, with a minimum requirement of six weeks for the issuance of a completion certificate.
