Apple Unveils M4: A Groundbreaking AI-Centric Chip
Apple has officially introduced the M4 chip, a revolutionary addition to its Apple Silicon lineup. Designed with a 3-nanometer architecture, the M4 is Apple’s first chip engineered specifically for AI. This cutting-edge chip powers the latest iPad Pro and will soon be integrated into Macs.
Enhanced Performance and AI Capabilities
The M4 chip boasts a new display engine, delivering precise color and brightness for the 2024 iPad Pro’s OLED display. With an up-to-10-core CPU, including four performance cores and six efficiency cores, the M4 offers a 50% performance boost over its predecessor, the M2. The Neural Engine is a standout feature, capable of processing 38 trillion operations per second, making it ideal for AI-driven tasks.

While the M4 chip is AI-ready, Apple has yet to reveal new AI features for iPadOS. However, AI-based enhancements are expected in upcoming versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro, signaling a promising future for AI integration in Apple’s software ecosystem.
